Hello! We’re Whitworths – the UK’s leader in dried fruits, nuts and seeds.

It’s our 130th birthday this year, which means we’ve been bringing you healthy, delicious products for 13 decades! (That makes us feel old!)

Over the years, we’ve been the first to give you access to a wide range of new, unusual and exotic fare from all over the world. Today, we’re using that expertise to provide innovative, tasty, healthy products that help you create delicious recipes at home, as well as conveniently fill your body with goodness while on the move through our wide snacking range.

We’re proud to be widely recognised and trusted by our working partners, international suppliers and, most importantly, by millions of customers. Your feedback is invaluable to us and we take action based on what we hear from you. In 2015, we improved the packaging across our entire product range by adding an easy seal zip lock for added freshness & convenience.

2015

Whitworths Fusions launched - a snacking range with a fusion of the tastiest ingredients nature has to offer, creative blends from sweet and zesty, to crisp and juicy, or mellow and spicy.

Bright New Look

Whitworths core range of baking and snacking fruits undergoes a bright new look - injecting excitement and vibrancy onto the shelves, alongside resealable foil packs.

2013

Whitworths Shots launched bring small packs of fruit, nut and seed combinations, quick, easy and convenient for snacking on at any time, wherever your day takes you!

2012

Whitworths became the No.1 brand in dried fruit!

2010

Our kids brand Frootz was launched. These fantastic fruit flavoured buttons are made with 100% real fruit so are an excellent alternative for parents who want their child to have a healthier snack.

2009

Whitworths was rebranded to reflect the changing nature of our business and bring it into the modern era. All our packs were redesigned and many moved to our pouch format so customers got the added benefit of easy resealability and long lasting freshness.

2006

In November, the group was acquired in a buy-out backed by private equity house, European Capital.

2006

Management buy-out, backed by Gresham Trusts.

1997

Scotia Haven acquired Whitworths Ltd from Napier Brown, taking on dried fruit, nuts and other associated businesses, to form the Whitworths Group. The logo was adapted to reflect the ‘food from the heart’ product positioning.

1994

Launch of a new logo.

1993

Whitworths is honoured by being selected to provide a supply of dried fruit for the British Everest 40th Anniversary expedition. It took five weeks to construct a new rusk drier, costing £400k, at Irthlingborough. This enormous piece of equipment had to be delivered in pieces over four days, with no less than five 40ft lorries transporting the stainless steel sections from their Holland-based manufacturers, Ventilux.
