8 Tasty, Healthy And Easy On-The-Go Summer Snacks
During the summer most of us enjoy getting out and about with friends and family to make the most of the weather! Whatever you enjoy doing, be it a walk on the beach, time at the park with your kids, camping with your partner, a BBQ in the garden or going on a forest trail with your dog – there is always a need for some handy on-the-go snacks to fuel your day. And in this blog post, we share our eight top snack ideas for this summer!
These snacks are easy to make, on-the-go friendly, nutrient-rich, and kid and adult approved.
On The Go Snack Recipes
1. Energy Bars
Energy bars are a great snack if you are busy and, on the go, they are a healthier choice and are often high in protein, fibre and bags of nutrition. Here are five delicious bar recipes from our website (and I know we are bias, but they are all really tasty!):

2. Muffins & Cookies
Muffins and cookies are always a fan favourite, so we had to include them in here. There is the assumption that both are often unhealthy as well, but that doesn’t have to be the case as there are so simple tweaks that can eb made to up the fibre and nutrients within a recipe. We have two great examples below:
‘Snack’ is being interpreted loosely here, with including a smoothie as an option. However, it’s refreshing, fruity and great for on the go, so we’d say it fits the summer snack requirement well!
This cherry and almond smoothie is tasty, vegan and only takes five minutes to make.
4. Bliss Balls
Bliss balls are a fantastic energy burst if you’re busy this summer, and we have a wide variety of easy recipes to try out:
