Corn On The Cob With Smoky Beans And Vegan Steak

  • 500g Whitworths Protein by Nature Brazilian Smoky Beans
  • 2 whole corn on the cobs cut in half
  • 1 tsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Cayene pepper
  • 100g Vegan butter
  • 4 portions of your favourite vegan steaks
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F, Gas Mark 4)
  2. In a frying pan place the corn on the cob and the oil and cook each side until slightly brown
  3. Mix together the Lime juice, garlic, oregano, cayenne pepper and vegan butter. Rub over the corn on the cobs and place in the oven on parchment lined baking tray for 15 minutes
  4. Cook your vegan steaks as per back of pack instructions
  5. Towards the end of the cooking time place the Whitworths protein by nature Brazilian smoky beans into the microwave for 2 minutes each
  6. Serve the corn and the beans alongside your favourite vegan steak alternative
