Salted Caramel Oat Bars

Are you planning a hiking trip or a long walk, and looking for a snack that will boost your energy and taste amazing at the same time? Look no further! These no-bake salted caramel oat bars are full of fibre and natural sugars, what will keep you energised! Give this perfect on the go snack a try.

  • 1 pack of Whitworths Caramel Fruit & Nut Mix
  • 300g rolled oats
  • 100g honey
  • 150g peanut butter
  • 50g dates
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Toppings (optional): Whole pecan nuts
  1. Blend dates in a mixer with addition of 5 tbsp of hot water until fully blended. Add peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract and salt. Mix until combined.
  2. Add rolled oats and a packet of Whitworths Caramel Fruit & Nut Mix and mix with a wooden spoon until combined. Mixture will seem dry at first but it will mix so don’t add any additional water.
  3. Cover a square baking pan with a baking paper.
  4. Pour your mixture into the pan and cover with another piece of baking paper. Use a back of a measuring cup or a glass to flatten the mixture.
  5. Chill in refrigerator for an hour and a half and cut into bars.
