Apple & Cinnamon Bircher

Try this delicious, simple and healthy apple and cinnamon bircher recipe to start your day right. It’s a perfect on-the-go breakfast and you can make it in bulk for the week ahead! This delicious recipe was kindly created by GoodMoodFood.uk.

  • 40g rolled oats
  • 60ml milk (dairy or nut alternative)
  • 125g Greek yoghurt (dairy or vegan alternative)
  • 1 apple
  • ¼ - ½tsp cinnamon
  • 1tbsp Whitworths Desiccated Coconut, plus extra to top
  • 1tbsp Whitworths Cranberries, plus extra to top
  • 1tbsp honey (optional)
  • To top: 1tbsp nut butter (we love using peanut)
  • Pumpkin seeds (optional)
  1. Chop the apple in half and remove the core. Grate half the apple using a cheese grater.
  2. Cover the other half of the apple and refrigerate until serving.
  3. In a bowl, add all the ingredients and the grated apple. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour into a jar, small bowl or on-the-go container then cover. Refrigerate for 2 hours or ideally, overnight.
  5. When serving, chop the other half of the apple into bitesize pieces then add to the bircher. Top with the nut butter, more Desiccated Coconut, Cranberries and pumpkin seeds. Enjoy!
