Nutty Kitchen Supermince Samosas

  • 1 pack Nutty Kitchen Indian Supermince, including seasoning sachet
  • 500ml water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 small potato, peeled and diced small
  • 12 sheets filo pastry
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil, for brushing
  • Optional: 75g peas, chopped coriander and mango chutney to serve
  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and gently fry the onion for 2–3 minutes. Add the diced potato and cook for a further 3 minutes.
  2. Add the full pack of Nutty Kitchen Indian Supermince, the seasoning sachet and 500ml water. Stir well, then bring to the boil.
  3. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 20–25 minutes, until the Supermince is softened and most of the liquid has been absorbed. Stir through peas and coriander, if using, then leave the filling to cool slightly.
  4. Heat the oven to 200°C / 180°C fan / Gas 6. Cut each filo sheet in half lengthways and brush lightly with melted butter or oil.
  5. Spoon a little Nutty Kitchen filling onto one end of each strip. Fold into triangles, sealing the final edge with a little butter or oil.
  6. Place on a lined baking tray, brush the tops with a little more butter or oil, then bake for 20–25 minutes until crisp and golden.
  7. Serve warm with mango chutney, yoghurt dip or a fresh side salad.
