Pumpkin Spice French Toast

This Pumpkin Spice French Toast is a delicious duo of autumnal pumpkin spice with indulgent French toast. Top this cosy dish with maple syrup, yoghurt and of course, our Toffee & Pecan SHOTS! This wonderful dish was created by GoodMoodFood.uk.

MAKES 2
  • 4 thick slices of bread or brioche
  • 2 eggs
  • 80ml whole milk
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp all spice/mixed spice
  • 30g Whitworths Chopped Dates, soaked in hot water
  • 2tsp brown sugar
  • Knob of butter
  • To serve: 2 x 25g Whitworths Toffee & Pecan SHOTS
  • 2 large dollops of Greek yoghurt
  • Maple syrup, to taste
  • Handful of pecans, crushed (optional)
  1. In a shallow dish, add the eggs, milk, spices, soaked dates and brown sugar. Whisk with a fork until well combined.
  2. Place a frying pan on medium-high heat and add a small bit of butter.
  3. One at a time, dip each slice of bread in the eggy mixture, making sure both sides are covered.
  4. Fry each slice for 1-2 minutes, until both sides are golden and crispy. Repeat with the remaining bread slices.
  5. Plate up your French toast then top each with a dollop of Greek yoghurt, maple syrup, crushed pecans and then sprinkle over a pack of Whitworths Toffee & Pecan SHOTS.
